If we adopted this approach...wouldn't we then see some of the SLOWEST times
around as people eased up a bit going for the BC and "top ten BC" ?
Would we later admonish those "outlaw" racers who complete for the fastest
times in the safest manner who are doing so for essentially no recognition.
Would this philosophy be expected to progress throughout endurance riding ?
I have an idea, lets just go to an IAHA competitive ride, this philosophy (
and the cash awards ) already exist there and we don't have to change
anything.
I think the basic spilt among mentalities in our sport is that we have
endurance "RIDERS" and we have endurance "RACERS" both of which have been
successful in the past.
