Not under ECTRA rules. If such a horse is given a completion, the
judges are not following the rulebook, and I, for one, would file a vehement
protest. Or at the very least, comment extensively about this on the ride
evaluation which goes to the ECTRA judge's committee.

I have a problem with the way the rules allow a "slight" Grade III.
It strikes me as being "a little bit pregnant". Either it's Grade III or it
ain't.

Any judge awarding a completion to a fracture-lame horse (which is
what Grade V is) needs to be brought to the attention of the Judge's
committee. Pronto.
