Well said Susan!

I recently completed my first 25and I am a true novice in this
sport...BUT,. The exact reasons you stated are the very reasons I turned
to endurance racing. This sport is a clean and wholesome sport that my
husband and I am excited to grow my two children up into. Our Endurance
sport teaches the kinds of values we want our kids to value...dedication
and responsibility, repect for our environment, loyalty, love, passion;
to mention the majors and that hard work pays off as we get into better
condition.

We've been showing and the things we've witnessed at just our little
schooling shows turned our stomachs.

Our horses are our friends and team-mates and we want them to enjoy
whatever we do as much as we enjoy it. I'm afraid that human nature
would turn our value filled sport into what all the other blood sports
have become. I for one, would hate to see it.
