Check w/ your Ag dpt, but VA you do. If you attend any function or go
to any farm with other horses, you MUST have proof of negative coggins.
We occasionally have Ag agents try to "crash" an event without a coggins
to see how we handle it. No problems to date since we are SO careful.
We do NOT need the health certificate unless going out of state.

Sending a coggins in w/ the application for a ride doesn't guarrantee
that the horse & test march. We actually eyeball the horse against the
document before they are allowed to park on the gorunds! We have had
unmarked horses with obviously incorrect coggins before (ie paper=Arab,
horse is warmblood, or papers=mare, horse is gelding).
