Hey Roger, thanks so much for your response. I appreciate the pointers on
taking pulses, though I have got that "down pat" after years (too many) of
ER nursing, I'm sure there are people who can use the review. I
(unfortunately) don't have a heart monitor yet....but Chriistmas IS coming
and there is hope. I do know they are great tools , however I was not aware
of their incredible accuracy unitl your post. Now I know to ask a rider if
they have loosened the girth if there is a descrepancy, which very well may
have been the case in my situation, as it is usually hot during our ride,
