In a message dated 96-11-25 23:47:42 EST, you write:

<< My shoer's name is Keith Swain. We live in Arlington, Washington (that's
the state!). Keith is the best farrier in Snohomish County. He was shoeing
at Longacres before it closed down. Interestingly enough the "old style"
thoroughbred shoers - the long toe, no heel guys - won out as the standard
of the industry, so Keith has left the racing circuit behind. The closest
race tracks now are Yakima Meadows in Eastern Washington and Portland
Meadows
in Oregon. >>

Hmm, that's my stomping ground--Washougal Washington, down by Portland and
the Columbia. Tell Keith he''s invited to see a real exotic TB operations
with high speed treadmills and all sorts of scifi going on. Tell him slo-mo
video gait analysis--see if you can entice him down so that I can pick his
brain.
