Funny you should mention this... My friend brought it up this
weekend while we were riding and similar comments. I think that a
journal should be objective in its writings, especially a journal
that is attempting to be foremost in the field of endurance.
TB has always supported "alternative methods" of care & horsemanship.
They have presented these alternative methods of care without always
presenting credible research and data to back up their presentation.
On the other hand, very well done research has been published in TB.
You need to read TB with a critical eye. (And ignore the ever
present typos and mistakes in the copy!!!)

More interesting is that I had a subscription thru Jan 1999.
Susan Gibson cancelled it saying any subscription dated 1/99 was a
complimentary one year subscription that is automatically cancelled
at the end of a year! I PAID for a 6 year subscription in 1993! Her
"negotiations" with me led to a missed year (1995) and a one year
subscription ending in 1/97. Despite all of this, I have yet to
receive the latest edition. (I had to read my friend's copy. Mine
are always at least a month late.)

Same old problem from TB?!?! I generally like the magazine, but I wish
the service was better. I certainly wasn't happy with her decision to cut 3
years off of a paid subscription.
