OUR V-MAX Heartbelt is for use WITHOUT the saddle. We use it in the vet check
and after the race to just keep an eye on them..

The system consists of a wide 4inch elastic belt with velcro ends. A
repairable transmitter is placed in a small pocket 'on the outside of the
belt, two short 6inch leads with our thin electrodes attach to velcro pads on
the 'inside' of the belt, the leads snap into the transmitter

Roger,

I read your other post, and am still trying to understand how this
all works. Let me get it straight. The POLAR heartbelt has a
transmitter with the electrodes included (part of the transmitter
piece).
Yours has the
electrodes on short 6 inch leads, inside the belt, that snap to the
transmitter.

Why then, can't you extend the length of the electrodes, ( to
make them longer just like your model with the wires), but
STILL
have the entire unit on a belt, so it can stay on while you ride?

The V-Max with wires and electrodes works accurately when in
motion. Isn't there SOME way, to make a heartbelt that also
works accurately in motion? Am I right in summarizing that the
only problems are that the electrodes need to not slide back and
forth, and they need to have some separation between them?.
