I've tried everything! Plastic baggie's (1 gal size) over wool socks in any
kind of boot is the ONLY thing that works for me. In frigid weather, when no
one else is riding but me, my big old Sorel, lined boots (that weigh 5 lbs
each!!) with the baggies keeps me toastie. I am still working on the gloves
issue. I once had a pair of sheep skin gloves from SunValley (don't know
where they are - was a gift) and they were wonderful for years, but have
never been able to find a replacement (boo-hoo)anybody help me here? I
tried sheepskin gloves from Nieman-Marcus (cough, coughed at the price) and
they FELL apart in 6 weeks. I had some sheepskin stirrup covers as a kid,
like Teddy described, and I remember my feet as warm in them. I am now going
to try wool glove liners in plastic cotton lined dishwashing gloves, which
has been suggested. This is the time of year I LONG for an indoor arena.
