MSM is not allowed in detectable amounts at an AERC endurance ride!!!

> Without repeating the AERC rule, it seems to be very tight and would not allow even
electrolites or vitamens in higher than normal amounts in the horses body. Since it
seemed vague to me I wrote to one of the members of the AERC vet committee and asked if
I could give my horse MSM, Legend, Adequan or Flex Free. The vet responded that all of
those items would need to be withdrawn at least 72 hours prior to an event. He also
stated that MSM is not legal in any detectable amount. So please check yourself with an
AERC vet and get the correct information. I also remember a letter in EN a year or so
ago where somebody just got tested and said she didn't know MSM was considered a drug by
AERC. It's always good to get a written response, saying internet said it was OK won't
work.
