Dr. Bond, yes you can purchase the vosel from SportTack catalog. They also
have the biothane bridle for it as well. The vosel sells for about $60 and
the bridle an additional 20-30. You can call Janine at SportTack at
1-800-248-8225, if no answer 1-510-934-6838. My husband uses one and finds
it gives hin plenty of control. It frees up the horse so can easily eat and
drink. I feel it has more control than a bosal hackamore but less than a
bit. I don't use it for my horse till he learns to carry himself more
balanced. It looks like a hackamore with a small rawhide wrapped noseband
and then small scissor or hinged rawhide wrapped bars underneath that
contact the jaw underneath. The reins attach to these v-shaped shanks and is
between a bosal and a mechanical hackamore in looks. Hope this helps, Linda
