You all know by now that Kevin has accepted a position in Kansas City.
Sadly we must offer for sale his outstanding mare, Bint Binistra--or as
we like to call her, "Miss B".

Miss B has 710 CTR/endurance miles. She has an impressive list of
placings, including two Grand Championships (Patapsco 30 and last week at
the Jersey Devil 2-day 50), 2 Reserve Championships (at Trough Creek
Valley 25 and the Trough Creek 2-day 50), another first in division at
Patapsco 30, and a 2nd at the tough NJTRA 3-day 100. Eleven of the rides
were under the HW category.

She has completed, with high scores, 3 3-day rides (2-100, 1-80) and 3
2-day 50's. She received a special breed trophy at the NJTRA 3-day 100.

Miss B also has carried me through the SC50 with all A's, and the tough
Elk Valley 50 with A- with Kevin on board.

Miss B is a light chestnut, no chrome, with a long, flowing mane and
tail. She is close to 15.0H (honest measure), short-backed and
long-legged. She has the cleanest, straightest legs you are likely to
see on the East Coast. And she tracks straight and true with a
ground-covering trot that leaves fellow competitors in awe. She is 14
years old this year.

Miss B was broke at age two, the trainer declared she didn't like to be
ridden, so they threw her into the broodmare herd. She has had two
babies, one a bay filly doing trail work in WVa and a spittin' image colt
owned by Kathy White in VA, being trained for reining. We found her at
age 11 and introduced her to the trail--the rest is history.

She is by Ibn Pharoh by Pharoh by Fa-Serr (from Henry Babson) out of
Binistra with several crosses back to the legendary Gulastra.
Her line includes Tobruk, Ghazi, Rahas, Islam and *Fadl.

Miss B is not "mare-ish", is sensible, and very forward (we use a
hackamore on her). She has been
under saddle for only 3 years so she has the legs of a 6 year old. Her
feet are round and large. She has never been lame.

We feel she is ready to go the next step as a true "100 mile" horse. We
think a FW,LW or MW rider would be best for her. She requires a calm,
sensitive rider who will become her special person. She is truly a
desert mare, one a Bedouin warrior would have chosen for his tent.

We are located in Allentown, PA. You may reach us by email at
safehavn@fast.net or call 610-366-0685 and ask for Diane or Kevin to
discuss how this special horse can take you to the top.
