Karl, I'm sending your post to the list, I hope you don"t mind as I have not
done the Tevis. I have rode parts of the trail and live on the east side of
the mountain from it and not familiar where there are places to stay close
to the ride sight for that period in which you could pre-ride. I do know
the Warhols did the ride this year and perhaps they know of a place. zx
Nick Warhol <nwarhol@mscorp.kla.com> or anyone else that could help.

linda we need information on where someone can stay the week before the
ride.ie. horse campground stables or private party.
We have a self contained camper so we will only need space for an easy
to care for horse. Any help that you can give will be appreciated.
We are getting an early start on this so we will be prepared for
anything that we run into. Would like to preride the last 20 miles of
the Tevis trail. Do you have any suggestions for a first time rider?
Paschal Karl

As far as suggestions, yes yes pre ride as much as you can,, check to see if
there is going to be a full moon, and this ride is during the hottest part
of the year and it gets well above 100 degrees in the bottom of some of
those canyons. So be prepared. Perhaps someone from this list that has done
the ride could respond. I know that Karen Chaton is also planning on doing
this for the first time this year also. I'm assuming you want to camp close
to the ride sight, right? Good luck , Karl Linda
