Looking for Trails in Virginia

I live in Southern Maryland, just a short drive from Fredericksburg,
Va. The country here is pretty darn flat. I'd love to find some trails
over in Virginia for conditioning work for my endurance hopeful. Some
of the local riders trailer over to Front Royal but I know that hills
around Orange, Culpepper and Warrenton are closer. Any suggestions
about public or private land that a responsible adult could ride on?
I'm more than willing to fish for invites and would be willing to help
on trail cleanup/clearing.
