A few weeks back I asked for suggestions of places to stop on my trip
from Alabama to Colorado Springs (moving, with a Ryder truck pulling a
car trailer, my old motorhome pulling a horse trailer, with cat, birds,
and horse). I received several very nice replies. I truly intended to
respond to each one, but in the bustle of preparing to move I failed to
do that.

As it turned out, I wasn't able to use any of the suggestions. The
motorhome threw a belt 25 miles east of Kansas City, at about 6 pm on a
Saturday night. Fortunately, there was a truckstop with all-night
repair service just one exit (3 miles) away, with a KOA at the same
exit. We stayed in the KOA for the night, got the motorhome fixed, and
were on our way the next morning.

We're now happily moved in to Palmer Lake, CO, a few miles north of
Colorado Springs. Kahlil is happily boarded at the Rocky Mountain
Training Center (Bobbi Richine's ranch, where the Race of Champions was
held several times). And I've been so busy configuring a new Internet
site in Denver (a contract job) that I'm just now finishing unpacking.

I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all the people who wrote to me
with suggestions of places to stay. And, if any of y'all are travelling
in the Springs area, look me up!

Oh, one more thing: I signed up with ATT's new Worldnet internet
service, as I didn't know yet who the best ISP in CS is. In case you've
been considering using ATT, don't! Their performance stinks. I'll be
changing to another ISP real soon now.
