Dear Lucy,

I have a couple of good registered Arab geldings 11 and 13 for sale,
both do endurance and are pretty good at it. One could be used for dressage,
he is very pretty, collects beautifully in experienced hands and has had
dressage lessons. Neither of these horses are cheap because much time and
effort has been expended on them, they are both in racing condition and they
have proven themselves. The 13-year old is a good, safe trail horse in
addition to being a first rate multi-day and 100 mile endurance horse. His
one flaw is that he is cold-backed which means he needs to be saddled slowly
and carefully and lead around before being mounted. This really only applies
at rides when he gets caught up in the excitement. The 11-year old is more
challenging but he is pretty and top 10s on 50 milers, has done one 100 and
could be trained to jump. Both horses are for sale for $4,500 and in the
case of the 13-year old that is a steal because he is eligible for FEI
endurance events. All this verbiage is to give you an idea about why horses
cost as much as they do. If you have any questions, please e-mail me at
