I think the answer to your question will range from a definite *NO*,
through the usual "yes & no" to a rabid OF can-do-no-wrong attitude!
I've certainly seen the gamut as folks continue to offer comments for the
saddle survey.

As with everything--if it works, it works, if it doesn't--well, you get
my drift.

I've got the OF Swain CT that seemed to be the answer to my personal
fitting problems and Kasey's need for something to fit in the withers
area without pinching. We were OK for 6 competitions, but now I'm seeing
a thickening under the cantle area due to bridging as
his back has changed shape throughout the season.

As soon as we return from vacation I will shim the saddle and try to find
a better balance--I suspect I need to build the cantle area up.

Oddly enough, he shows no back soreness, no girthiness or any sensitivity
even after REALLY tough rides. I don't have the wavy hair problem
because I use a very thin dressage pad under the booties (not recommended
by OF but I choose to do this because it makes the fit better) AND I
girth up pretty snuggly with the neoprene girth.

Problems with OF's seem to develop slowly over time. Some vets in our
area are really down on these saddles.

I am going to get a Thin Line pad, cut it to fit the bootie shape and
insert between the panels and booties. This should improve shock absorbancy.

Anyway...you either like 'em or you don't.
