In defense of the person who made the original post, I must inform you that
speed certainly is not this rider's real concern. As a matter of fact, I'm
sure her concern was that she would go too slow and not make the time!

At one point on a training ride asked if she should get off and lead because
she felt her horse might be fatiqued following a distance of trotting. I
asked what the horse's heartrate was - she had a HR monitor - and she looked
at her watch and responded, "68."

Granted, there are riders out there that should take your message seriously.
However, Petdoc6 is certainly not one of those speedsters! She rides very
conservatively and is very concerned for her horse's welfare.
