Obviously Tommy answered the strip down the spine. The McClellan ( htis
is the correct spelling) saddle is open down the middle, so air would
circulate there better. BUT, dry spots under the saddle tree are, like
along the bars, is a NO-NO. The skin is not breathing at those areas and
cells will begin to become damaged. Eventually you will see hair loss,
and also white hairs. Dry spots are an indication of a too-tight fit.
You can use a lift pad to raise the sadle up but this could also cause
the saddle to fit even tighter.
