[endurance] A different Ortho-Flex problem

My Ortho-Flex American Outback fits my 15.1 hand Appy perfectly but is
causing severe pressure sores on my 16 hand Appy. After a 4-5 hour
ride in the heat, he gets these 2-3" lumps on each side of his back, a
third of the way back from the front edge of the panels. The bumps
are not painful to the touch but now all the hair is falling out. If
I put the saddle on his back with no booties, it looks like it should
fit perfectly. The horse doesn't look like he'd be hard to fit. I've
tried using a thick Toklat barrel pad and/or an equilizer pad but I
still get dry spots or lumps depending on how long I ride, so I've
gone back to my Wintec which fits fine.

If anyone out there has solved a similar problem with an ortho-flex or
a traditional western tree saddle, I'd really like to hear from you.
