[endurance] saddles

In an effort to make an intelligent saddle-buying choice, I would like to ask
that any of you planning to attend Camp Far West this weekend, let me know
whether you would be willing to let me test drive your saddle (your critter or
mine). I am interested in the following saddles at this time; however, if you
have something different, I'm sure open to suggestions.

1. Sports Saddle (the one from Genie SS)
2. Sharon Saare
3. DeSoto
4. Big Horn (Karen, I'll be looking for you!)

If you are going and wouldn't mind letting me sit your saddle, it would really
be appreciated. Being on a limited budget, I can't afford to
buy/sell/buy/sell--I know you can all relate to that!

Also a question for you experienced saddle buyers out there:

My horse is not in her best shape yet and probably won't be for at least another
30 days or so. If I purchase a Saare or DeSoto, I would wait until she is in
top shape for the bare-tree fitting; then would have to wait at least an
additional 30 to 90 days to recieve the saddle. I am leaning toward the Sports
Saddle as it seems that I could purchase that immediately and not have to worry
about her condition, since with the flexible tree it shouldn't matter. Would
you say this is an accurate statement, or am I missing something here?

Any help anyone can give me would sure be appreciated.

Thanks...
