[endurance] Good News about Lost Horse

The horse that was lost at the Washoe ride was found today!

I was driving thru town today - on my way to pick up my husband in Reno,
when I got a tone-out for a 'missing horseman'. Guess somebody had found a
horse loose and assumed that it had lost its rider and so they toned out
search and rescue to go find this 'lost horseman'. So of course I had to
respond - all the time thinking to myself, could that possibly be the lost
horse. It was found in the Sunrise Pass area, in Douglas County. By the
time we had the Command set up and ready to dispatch - the call came in that
it was an 'endurance horse'. One member of our unit was on scene and knew
all about the lost horse and was in the process of contacting the owners of
the horse. The Nance's must be celebrating tonight! I would have to guess
that the horse must have still had most of it's tack on in order to be
mistaken for a riderless horse. Glad he was found and all is well - he was
out there for 12 days.

P.S. I was just *barely* late getting to Reno - guess I could use this as
another "You know you're an endurance rider when" ... you leave your husband
waiting to help another horse person!!! (or horse as was the case).
