Regarding splint boots: we have had some problems with rubbing when we
use the Sports Medicine boots, despite keeping them scrupulously clean
and snugging them up. There are fairly inexpensive neoprene boots that
you can get from Libertyville--see the Western section--that don't seem
to irritate the leg as much. Of course, they don't offer the same shock
absorbancy but if that's not the problem, the cheaper versions may suit.
