[endurance] In The Begining????

I have just bought the most wonderful horse. He is an
arabian ,(a breed I have admired since I was a kid) he is my
dream horse. He is also entire which is not a problem for
me. I have just been told that he is to old for me to do
endurance with . I didnt think that at 16 he would be!! what
does anyone else think. My advice to anyone looking to buy
that special horse that suits them is to take a great deal
of time looking and not to rush into anything. It has taken
me over a year to find that horse that I click with. As to
rider heights etc Im 5'3 and at the moment im to scared to
get on the scales but Im sure it would be heavy.Ive just
started trail riding this season and I hope to go on for
many more but I wondered if any one has any tips for a total
beginner. The season down here has just finnished and I only
got one ride in. Im only begining trail\endurance as a new
sport but i have been riding for a long time . I enjoyed the
list even if it did take 4 hrs to read it all. All 207
items.Any one out there interested in writing to a New
Zealander who lives for her horses but has three kids to
distract her . Sorry about the long winded letter
