Does your horse have his winter coat yet, and how hot is it already. Body
clipping did wonders for my daughters Q-horse. Not much rain this year and
the weather is already hot and dry. Babe (the horse) seems to be doing so
well. Did 35 miles Sat with temps in the 80's-90's, and not much problem
with dehydration. Didn't even sweat much. This mare used to sweat profusely
at this time of year, and looked just miserable. A big improvement for her.
Anyway, my guess is that with more contitioning, R's will improve.
