We feed unprocessed rice bran to all 5 of our horses, it is fed dry with
what ever else the individual is getting -- the old guys just their
vitamins, vita-flex etc, the coming 3 yr old and the two we are working get
LMF Super Supplement (a small pellet), the working ones also what ever
grain/oil necessary, but on days not worked the rice bran and SS is plain.
They all love it and have no problems inhaling it or coughing. I know a lot
of people locally that feed it and no one wets it.... BTW, the unprocessed
stuff is $10.60 for 75 pounds, a big price difference from the stablized
brands. You just don't want bags and bags of it sitting around for months
especially during the hot summer.
