Many grey horses are registered as some other color, such as bay.
For example, when Dragon was born, he really looked bay, and even
though I suspected he'd grey out, I registered him as bay. Today,
as a 3 year old, he is definately going to be a grey. Many people
never bother to change the papers.

So, the registry may not be a very good indication of true color.
