[endurance] What to carry it all in

A fishing vest makes a nice supplement to the traditional bulky
fanny pack. I found one at a sports show for a whopping $19.99
recently. It has a dozen or so pockets, including a huge one
on the back and two that would hold a flip-style cell phone.
I don't think it would hold a water bottle in an accessible place.

The fishing vest is light weight: much of it is mesh, the lower
part zips off if you need or want less. The back compartment
could hold your space blanket or poncho, thus making a nice
cushion should you fall on your back. This vest doesn't seem
incredibly sturdy because it's so light, but it is largely nylon
so might surprise you. I haven't tried mine out yet--hope to
Real Soon.

I don't know how prices usually run on these things; maybe someone
else can comment. A photographer's jacket might be good, also,
but the ones I've seen tend to be more like a "bush jacket"; look
for a vest instead.

Oh, one item I've not seen on any of the lists is DIAPERS for
bandages. I carry one in my cantle bag along with the vetrap and
a small bottle of wound dust or Betadine.

wondering if there should be a category above HW :-)
