I have heard someone refer to this rubbing on the loin as "Orthoflex
rub". Any truth to that?

"Orthoflex Rubs" are very real, although often cosmetic only, sometimes they
are the source of occult or overt lameness. While not always caused by the
unique tree of Orthoflex saddles, the rubbing is so frequently seen with
Orhoflex that the rubbing over the loins has gained the name of "Orthoflex
Rubs".
