I tend to take a lot of stuff. Food for me, treats for my horse,
water bottles, lead rope, cell phone, sponge, scoop, vetrap, bee
sting kit, asthma inhaler, asprin, and hoof pick. I have an orthoflex
"american outback" (love it) with a zillion d-rings. I jingle like
santa claus and look like a housewares peddler. instead of a knife,
I carry a "leatherman" tool. it has several knife blades, a file,
and a pair of pliers. I've used it several times to cut thru barbed
wire obstacles on the trail. I bet you could use it to remove a
loose shoe in a pinch.

I've noticed that some riders like to carry everything but the kitchen sink
:-> (sponge, easyboot(s), clorox bottle, leadrope, food, etc) on
them/horse when riding and others seem to take off with nothing but a water
bottle or two and their vet card.

What do most of you carry with you when you take off down the trail for an
end. ride? Does it vary from ride to ride depending on terrain, weather
conditions, etc?

Looking forward to the input on this!
