My wife has just got the a Vmax (by wireless model, presumably you mean
there are no wires between the transmitter and the wrist-watch style
readout). If so, that's what she got (and the cheapest version, without
alarms levels).

She tried it first time the other day - just on training exercise. She
said it was amazing. Horse saw a tractor 400m away and walking pulse
shot up from 60 to 90 (his resting pulse in the stable is about 33).

Main trouble she had was trying to find somewhere to exercise him really
hard - at a canter she couldn't get his pulse above 130 but we
understand she should be trying to get it up to 200. Need some hills!

As a matter of interest, how much does the Vmax cost in USA? Here in UK
we had to pay 210 UK Pounds.

Also, are you allowed to use them whilst actually riding in competition?
I don't know whether we can here in UK.

Barrie (just the crew).

Sailing and bell ringing keep me amused -
except when I bump into a bell buoy!
