I have only seen these shoes once, & I have never used them. How
much shaping can you perform before you are unable to fit the
inserts? Did your farrier have any problems fitting the shoes
themselves? Since the metal of the shoes don't wear, & the nail
heads arenot rattling around w/ wear, how many times can the same
shoe be reset. If I remember, they are a <bit> more expensive than
standard shoes (although maybe not as bad as custom forged shoes).

Also, is the entire set (shoe & insert) very heavy? I have one horse
w/ thin quarters - I would hate to stress his (finally!!) newly
regrown hoofwall. If there is a weight difference, I wonder what it
would do to horses who naturally tend to have a bit more action?

Thanks!
