Here in Idaho, the turnout at early spring rides is influenced much
more by the weather in the preceding 2 months than the weather the day
or week before the ride itself.

If people have had the chance to get out to condition, they'll show up
rain, snow, or shine. If they haven't, they won't make a special
effort.
