I guess you've never been to a NATRC ride!!! That is the most ridiculous
assertion I've ever seen. Come on!!! it's only 10 minutes and yes, given
the condition most NATRC horses are in it is **VERY*** hard to separate
the top horses. Why don't you come out and try one before flaming that we
are killing our horses by doing it!

>I would never even consider entering a ride in which my horse was
>restricted to the amount of water which we could carry on board.
THAT IS NOT TRUE!!! You may be restricted for 10 minutes in the use of
the water because they wish to have all horses judged the same and do not
want you moving and thereby changin the P&R's of both your horse and the
ones nearby. There are no restrictions after a P&R or on your use of
water on the trail. In fact it's an important part of your horsemanship
score.

Sorry but as a lifetime NATRC member and one who still thinks it's the
best place to start
*any* horse or rider I get really peeved when I see comments that are so
obviously based on zero experience with our sport.
