Hello seasoned distance riders!
I've recently purchased a Peruvian Paso (6 year old "Fuerte") and I am very interested in learning more about distance riding. Where does a person begin?! If any of you personally know anyone who has ridden a PP long distance, I'd like to ask some questions pertinent to the breed. At this point, I'd like to be pointed in the direction of good books to read, magazines to subscribe to, and info on how to get Fuerte (and me!) in shape. I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains (north of Santa Cruz, CA) and have access to oodles of trails and the beach.
