I'm very sorry about the accident..just an observation. Almost
everytime I ride I am the only one who wears a helmet, yet these
accidents happen all the time.
A month or so ago a local rancher / police officer and his wife
were riding down the street and his horse spooked & bucked for unknown
reasons...he landed on his head and was dead within 24 hours. Yet even
with all the publicity.. no one wears helmets on the trail??!?!?
I admit, I only started wearing one faithfully in honor of
Christopher Reeve, who endorsed wearing one although it didn't help
him. I now feel naked without one.
Please Please, everyone wear a helmet, for yourselves, your
family.. It is the least we can do as a memorial to these people who
learned the lesson the hard way...
