Any inside ideas/prep, etc.. with regards to riding a Competitive Trail
Ride in the Northeast in JANUARY.

There's one sanctioned by ECTRA the end of January, and I've never done one
during this time of year.

Sure, I've ridden, horse has borium studded shoes, the works, but what
additional prep, equipment should one have before, signing up. My husband
thinks I'm nuts, but I've always been the adventurous one to at least try
things once.

Conditioning shouldn't be the issue, as I'll be working in an indoor, and
have competed in both Competitive and Endurance successfully this year.
Looking more for the tricks of the season. Its only 25 miles.

Any info, would increase my knowledge, decrease my doubt, and allow me to
charge forward in signing up for this ride.
