[endurance] Difficult Arab

I have a friend who has a very strong willed
Arab. She's been taking lessons and he's just
great under saddle, but he continually tests
her on the ground. Especially around his food
or in his stall. He really pins his ears back
and will swing his butt around. He can on
occasion bite or kick.

She's started to leave a break away halter on
him and gets after him when he's bad by taking
the halter and backing him up until he lowers
his head and licks his lips. She does not
have a round pen. He's 8 years old.

Please send ideas, books, or favorite trainers.
I'm thinking she should probably start from
scratch on the ground work and that he'll
come around since he's so good under saddle.

Thanks for your help!
