[endurance] endurance round the world

I've been asked to write a poster about endurance riding round the world
for the British Equine Event. If anyone can give me the following info
about their country (or any other) I'd be grateful:

who is the governing body?
what are the major rides?

I'm OK for info about the UK, USA and Australia, but would info from any
other European country and Canada (and South America?). I've do have info
about most places, but its about 10yrs out of date now.
