I have 2 Enduro Classic Trail Saddles from DeSoto Custom Saddles.
I bought my first after I rode my 16 year old Arab stallion in a 25 mile
ride in my all purpose jumping saddle. He was so sore afterwards you could
not touch
his back without him jumping away. Needless to say, I was horror struck
that I'd caused my very good natured stallion any pain!!!
I rode him only bareback 'till I got the custom saddle (because
nothing else I had remotely fit his broad shoulders, and flat back, he
looked more like a quarter horse than an Arab, very W I D E).
I never had one problem with his back after that.

The second saddle I bought for a mare I had. This mare had higher
withers and narrower shoulders, and a much shorter back. (The first
saddle is a 6 3/4
tree with flat bars, the second is a 6 1/2 with steeper and shorter bars)

I have since sold both the horses I bought the saddles for, but
have found that one or the other will fit almost any horse.

I've had ONE problem with them. I currently ride a 16.3 hand Saddlebred
who is VERY high withered and LOW backed. His shoulder is so long, and so
sloping it was pushing the saddle back into his loin area with every
stride, (even with a snug breast collar). (By the way he wears the wider
flatter saddle). Marilyn, noted
the problem and made a very nice 'cushy' half pad with Cloud Nine Foam,
and it completely solved the problem.

In my opinion, (I'm a certified riding instructor) the saddle is
very well balanced and puts even a novice rider in the correct position.
I've used the saddles often for students.

I believe they're excellent saddles, and you can't beat the
price for a true custom saddle.
