[endurance] loops into camp

O.K. my two cents worth! Down here in the S.east region, due to a lot
of space limitations, we are forced to use the cloverleaf type trails.
Most of the times, it is ridden as two loops, then a repeat. Sometimes
there is an away check, most of the times there is not. I guess it is
what you get used to, since a whole lot of people that I know prefer the
loops into camp. Most of our horses, if in good shape, will haul boogie
out of camp without looking back. I have one horse that prefers away
checks because he is not constantly looking for his trailer buddy that is
still doing 25's, but in camp checks are no big deal either. Just takes
a minute or two longer at the first check. I really enjoy being able to
tie my horse to the trailer so I can go to the port-o-let, since there is
not always someone available at away checks. Especially if you come in
right in the thick of things. And, yes, people are really good about
taking my things out to a check if I don't have a crew, but unless
someone is standing right there, I may not be able to find, or even get
to my things. Allright for me, but not so allright for my poor horse. I
don't think it is cruel to ask my horse to leave camp numerous times,
unless he is not fit for the task at hand. If he is fit, he is more
anxious than I am to leave.
