First: Have the batteries gone flat? When you store the complete set
together with the "wet" patches making contact with eachother, the
"watch" will get signal. And after a year the batteries could have gone
flat this way.

Second: Is everything well connected? Are the wires broken perhaps?
Binding and folding of wires may cause broken wires. Check.

Third: Is everything properly attached to the horse (left to girth/right
under saddle with both good skin contact)? Use ECG gel or ordinary hair
gel to assure contact. Tighten the girth. Activate the monitor and go for a
ride even if the monitor is not working. You should get signal at the latest
as soon as the horse starts sweating. Check the girth and tighten.

Still no signal? Ask your dealer, may be it is realy broken and can he fix
the problem.

Good luck!
