[endurance] pads and Outlaw Trail

I use a woolback pad against my horse with a skito pad above
that. After hot rides my skito pad dries with salt on the top. I
believe this to indicate excellent moisture transfer through all
the pads. The skito was recommended by another local long time
endurance rider. I felt it relieved some pressure points near my
horses' withers that standard pads couldn't adequately absorb.

Any results, stories etc. from the Outlaw Trail. I heard the
first day was really tough with several people quitting?
Gorgeous scenery and a fitting challenge. Any E list people do
it?
