He is an 11 year old gray Arabian gelding,
approx. 15 - 15.1 hands. Sound - strong legs,
good bone, big solid feet (he always gets
compliments on his feet from farriers and
veterinarians). His sire is Magnat*, an Arabian
race horse imported from Russia (now deceased),
his dam is a Port Bask daughter. His registered
name is Porta Magna, but we call him "Gorby" in
honor of his Russian background. He was started
slow. Has completed Castle Rock 50, Fireworks
50(twice), and Oakland 50. Gorby has also done
team penning and is an all around great ranch
horse . Gorby is a bit hot, and not for the
beginner. His only problem is that he cannot be
kept in a stall, as he gets clastrauphobic and
exhibits all sorts of vices. $2500 and a good
home will put him in your barn!
