We too were planning on doing the Lake SOnoma ride. There is an
alternative that we are considering. There is a ride down in
Lancaster called the Halloween Horror I & II, and I think it is on the
same weekend the Lake Sonoma ride was scheduled for. They are having
a fifty on two days in a row. Lancaster is about a seven hour trailer
ride from the Bay Area.

IS anyone else considering this ride, and has anyone done an endurance
ride in the desert around Lancaster? What's the terrain like?

Hi JJ, Could you please forward this again to the list? Looks like the
Lake Sonoma ride is cancelled. And I had pretty much hashed this out with
Paula, just sent in my check and Breck got his boss to give him the time
off. Can you Bay area people please keep the date open and we can do
something as an alternative? I'll call Paula tonight and see what we can
hammer out. Looks as though since this is, after all just hearsay I'll
call Waltenspiel and get the straight dope. BTW the Quicksilver Ride is
not an alternative since the dang thing is a week earlier. Anybody
planning on attending can e-mail me directly or call me.

REGARDING Canceled Rides

I am starting to feel like every time I get excited and start planning for a
ride it is canceled. I called for an entry form for the Lake Sonoma ride in
Calif. and was informed the ride had been canceled. I guess we will do the
Quicksilver ride at Grant ranch. When they hear I am planning on riding they
may cancel too. Good thing I know the manager I dont think he is afraid of
me. Val
