I compete with a Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse! Although I
normally refer to Redbud as a racking horse, he is reg. KMSH.

This is just our second season, rode him in 4 rides last year,
all CTR, the longest being a 2-day 50. He really did well,
scored well enough to bring home a ribbon each time, and was
happy with what he was doing.

This year, I've only been able to ride in one limited-distance
endurance (25 mi). He scored all A's with a comment of
"Solid!" by the vet.

I also have a TWH mare, who I am starting this year. She
did her first ride a couple of weeks ago, a 20 mile novice CTR.
She did well and finished 7th out of 21 horses. (score-wise).

There were 8 gaited horses at this ride, 4 TWH, 1 Rocky Mountain,
2 Paso Finos, and 1 Racking Horse. I think there will be more
competing.

Redbud is going to get to do a 25 mile ride this weekend....:^)
