In FL on every road that crosses the St. Johns river or the Suwannee river
there is a Ag check station at the point of crossing. If you are driving a
truck or are pulling a trailer, you have to stop. If you don't they come
after you. If you are carying horses you have to show a vaild current
Coggins. If you are coming into FL, you have to have a valid Health Cert,
period. If you don't have one, they will call a vet (at your expience) and
your horse(s) will get one.

There are absolutely no exceptions. You can get a 180 day Health Cert for
travel between FL, GA and AL. But this is only valid for travel between
those states. It is a pain in the butt, and the Ag police tend to treat
everyone as crimials. This is especially true at the Ag station on I-95
near Jacksonville. But it is just a fact of life of getting your horses in
and out of FL.
