Most likely sore balls. An inguinal or scrotal hernia is almost
invariably strangulating, and is a surgical emergency. (i.e., you'd *know*
it if he got one.)
I have seen a stallion at NE rides with a homemade jock strap, but I
can't tell you how well it works, 'cause he usually gets pulled for lameness.
(Some people just don't get it....)
