Fwd: [QSEndurance] Fwd: physiology of weight

And doesn't this just say it all.

Hi Maryben,

Thanks for all your work on the QS banquet. It was great as always.

Weight divisions. Why not have as many weight divisions as there are people
in the ride? If there are 50 riders then have 50 weight divisions, one for
each horse and rider team. Then each person could "win" in their weight
division.. I say this with tongue in cheek.. Of course that is a silly
idea.

Life is not fair. We are not all created equal. Not all horses are created
equal. Live with it. This argument has gone on for twenty years. When is
enough going to be enough?

Actually I have a second idea. Let's go by the AERC motto of "To Finish Is
To Win" and do away with all the weight divisions and championships, etc.,
etc. Just ride for the simple fun of it.

Jeri

P.S. Please feel free to share this with anyone and everyone. Especially
the AERC Board of Directors. I can't believe that after twenty years the
same arguments are still going on and on.
