    Re: [RC] petsmart - Linda

I always like to get the facts before going along with passing on these
emails too. So when the second email gave the 800 # for Petsmart I figured
I had nothing to loose by calling and asking. I spoke with "Dan" that is
mentioned in the email (by the way.. his last name is Tisch if you would
like to call him) and he is the customer service manager. He did speak to
the lady in the original email (that owns the dachshunds) about her having a
grooming table set up outside the store and explained to her that Petsmart
did not wish to appear as selling puppies and does support placing shelter
animals. Dan also spoke to the manager and he does not remember ever seeing
her outside his store before that day. Dan and Petsmart realize that there
are breeders that are responsible and are doing the best they can for their
breed and dogs in general and have nothing against "show breeders" (this
statement does not imply that all show breeders are responsible breeders).
Maybe this lady should look into a good conformation class in her area and
    socialize her puppies there.
Petsmart should be commended for their part in placing homeless pets.

(again I apologize for being OT, but hate smear campaigns)
